Mr Whipple Dies

Well, this is Dick Wilson portraying Mr Whipple from the Charmin TV commercials (courtesy: FOX News). He pass away today at 91.

He gave us the catch phase: “Please, don’t squeeze the Charmin!”

A cultural icon is gone. He will be missed.

Oh Really? …

Another DrudgeReport link reports that a Mrs Bill Clinton strategist says that if election were held right now, Mrs Bill Clinton would win the election in a landslide against any Republican opponent.  Here the Hill’s story and its headline: Clinton campaign: Hillary would win in a landslide if the election were tomorrow.

Oh really?

It seems that the landslide may, repeat may, swing the other way, if the Mrs Bill Clinton camp is so sure that America will elect her.  How is Mrs Bill Clinton going to overcome obtaining the majority of male vote in 2008?  Whoever wins this group of voter typically wins the election. It seems a little arrogant to think you have won, when you have not even won the Democratic nomination.  Would the other Democratic challengers have something to say about this?

A Fall Lamb

Can you resist this face?  In fact, it looks like it is smiling.

Well from the DrudgeReport today, the UK Daily Mail has story about this lamb here. The interesting fact about this lamb is this: it was actually born this autumn.  Yes, that is correct, it was born during autumn season. Typically lambs are born in the spring.

Could this be a result of global warming?

A War on Thanksgiving

On today’s show Rush talked about Seattle schools considering ways to teach the misery of Thanksgiving. I’m not kidding. This story comes via Michelle’s blog entry, The War on Thanksgiving. Apparently a group wants the Seattle schools to teach not to be thankful during Thanksgiving, but the misery we have caused the Native Americans since coming to this land almost 500 years ago. They talk about 11 Myths of Thanksgiving at a website to help educators inform their students.

Why cannot they teach them the true story of Thanksgiving? It will be better than the stuffing they will try to feed them today.
