Well, I went to see the movie, The Spiderwick Chronicles, at the local UA Theaters.
Although I have not read the books this movie is based upon, the Spiderwick Chronicles series of young adult novels by Tony DeTerlizzi and Holly Black, this was a very good movie. Running about 97 minutes, the movie probably deals with several of the short stories in the series. The movie does peak my interest in reading the series as it did when the first Harry Potter movie came out. Checkout it trailer.
I attended the movie using a free pass, but if you like go to to theaters, I think this movie is one to see with your children who have read the series. It is wonderful to see these characters come to life on the screen. See movie reviews at Yahoo, Rotten Tomatoes for more on critic’s reviews and those who have seen the movie.
