Independence Day 2008

American Symbols

Today we commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Many call this Fourth of July Holiday (see Michelle Malkin post on this). Although the document was passed in regards to resolution on July 2, it was officially adopted on this day.

There may be many columnists or journalists who are bemoaning how bad we have become. Instead of dwelling on this negative, let us remember the risks our Founding Fathers were taking by adopting this document and signing it a month later.  Read a copy of the speech The Americans Who Risked Everything by Rush Limbaugh Jr today at RushLimbaugh.com.

Celebrate this day with your family!  Enjoy it.

In honor of the day, let us remember the colors of the flag:

Red signifying hardiness and valor

White signifying the purity and innocence

Blue signifying vigilance, perserverance, and justice
