Update 25 October 2009:

A dark plague awaits the prison barge  Purge as it seeks repairs in the outer reaches of the known galaxy.  Unknown to the crew, this plague come from a known source, the Empire.  However, it has already affected many of crew on the Purge with the exception of two brothers, a doctor, and Imperial guard.  The horror filled events will keep the brothers and the doctor on the run as they seek answers to why the dead keep coming back to life and seek them.  In attempt to get off the ship, the doctor finds two confined prisoners who may be helpful in escaping this deadly plague.  Will they make it?

Unlike any previous Star Wars novel, this horror story will keep you on your toes on how these brave individuals escape this deadly trap and find the answer to this deadly Imperial weapon.

Update 6 July 2009:

Jedi Order is in crisis.  Several more Jedi has been inflicted with a mysterious disease.  One of these Jedi is Valin’s sister, Jysella.  Galactic Alliance government is taking no chance and insist on carbon freezing these Jedi.  As the council deals these issues, Luke Skywalker and his son, Ben, head to the Kathol Rift to find a alien species who taught Jacen Solo to force walk.   Finding their way through the rift, Luke and Ben get closer to finding when Jacen may have changed.

Despite all the events, a ship has return to a low tech planet.  The planet is home to the last of the Sith tribes.  The population has grown and could become a new threat to the Jedi Order.  To these people, the ship is known as Omen.  This Omen has picked Vestara Khai, a Sith apprentice, in her goal to  become a Sith Master.  Soon, they build their armada to go forth to conquer the galaxy again.  But, the ship disappears after informing them of their greatest threat to their existence, Luke Skywalker.

In following the Legacy of the Series, the Fate of the Jedi picks up several years later.  Luke Skywalker is faced with consequences of Jacen Solo’s choices in becoming Darth Caedus and impacting the future of the galaxy.  To make matters worse, Jedi Valin Horn is inflicted with a mysterious disease resulting in more tension with Natasi Daala’s government. The new government is bent on placing blame on him and the Jedi Order.  Therefore, a critical choice is made, Luke Skywalker will go into exile to find the answers.  He and his son, Ben, head out on the Jade Shadow to the mystics world of Dorin, the home world of the former Old Republic Jedi Master Plo Koon.  He learns new techniques which could help him determine what lead to Jacen downfall.  However, he and Ben soon realize that they must also help the mystics understand the wrongness of hiding.

Meanwhile, other events are in motion. The Jedi Order are in a race to find what is the cause of Valin’s behavior.  But, the government has no interest in assisting them.  They decree that observers must be assigned to every Jedi so that they are following government rules.  Escaping this order, Han and Leia Solo seek to aid  Lando Calrissian with an interesting problem in the mines of Kessel.

Review 7 February 2009:

Matthew Stover writes a new Luke Skywalker adventure taking place after the Return of the Jedi movie.  At a time which the New Republic has arisen, Luke has accepted a position as a General in the New Republic Defense Forces.  Questioning his decision in accepting this position, Luke must meet up a new deadly darkness in the galaxy, a warlord named Shadowspawn.  In this new battle between the Light and Dark, Luke is confronted with choices that will impact many innocent people.  In his quest to address this threat, his sister, Leia, and his friends, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, and Rogue Squadron have followed him into this heated battle near the planet of Mindor to provide any help they can.  With their help, Luke has to make the necessary choices to ensure his friends and the New Republic forces can get out this trap set by Shadowspawn and stop him from gaining control of the galaxy.
