Chicago Blackhawks 2010 Western Conference Champions

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals.  They defeated San Jose Sharks today 4-2 and winning the series 4-0. Story is here at NHL.com.

The turning point in the game was the Chicago’s first goal by Brent Seabrook  in the second period on 4-4 situation.  The Hawks were able to take the momentum from the Sharks again and go on to win the game.

I look forward to this year’s Stanley Cup Final.  It will be the Blackhawks first return to the Finals since 1992.  They look like a team destined to win it and end the long drought of their last championship in 1961.

Tomorrow’s Flyers-Habs Game 5 may determine who the Hawks will play in the Finals.  Go Hawks!
