How the Republican Party Can Fight Back – Newsmax

Another interesting article the other day at Newsmax, How the Republican Party Can Fight Back by Philip V. Brennan.  Provides some historical perspective that could be applied to today’s GOP situation in the House.  It is only the matter of picking the right leaders in the House and Senate to get the message out.

Some of the points of interest that I saw:

Pick your targets.

Avoid offering Republican alternatives to Democratic Party programs and proposals.

Revive the joint House-Senate leadership weekly meetings and press conferences presided over by the minority leaders of both Houses.

These three points are what is needed in being a respectful minority in Congress and offer alternative message to the America people.  Remember, the Democrats can do almost anything they want without any GOP votes.

Another thing to do is choose a articulate and conservation leader at the RNC as well.
