H-1B visa use cuts U.S. IT wages by 6% – ComputerWorld

An interesting article at ComputerWorld about how H-1B visa use cuts US programmer, software engineer wages by 6%.  The premise for the report was to dispel the myth that globalization generates  no losers.  It is still unclear to me, but since I am looking for a new position, I can agree with this quote from the article:

It is almost a given that I will not be able to get the same wages as I did from my prior position. But, if one can sell themself well and find the right position, it may be possible to improve your wages for your next position.
